David Balmer

David Balmer is a native Texan having been born and raised in El Paso.  He graduated from Texas Tech University with a bachelor’s degree in business and went on to St. Mary’s University School of Law.  After law school and 12 years of working at other law firms, David founded the Balmer Law Firm, PC in San Antonio, Texas on January 1, 2006, and has been in business ever since.  Prior to founding his own law firm, David was the chief litigation attorney for a small San Antonio firm after beginning his legal career in 1994 when he graduated “with distinction” from St. Mary’s Law School.

David began his legal career in Person Injury Litigation and continues to take select cases but now spends the majority of his time on probate, guardianship, and trust litigation cases. He has tried numerous cases to jury verdict and has had even more bench trials.

In addition to his excellent advocacy skills in the courtroom, David is known for his analytical and creative approach to his cases as well as his writing abilities.

David has given free public law seminars across the State of Texas on legal topics such as “Wills and Estates” and “The Probate System and Living Trusts”. David is proud to have taught hundreds of attendees over the years about the importance of Estate Planning.
